We have delivered our presentation at the International Symposium on Companions of the Prophet and Safwan b. Muattal.

The "International Symposium on Companions of the Prophet and Safwan b. Muattal," organized by the Adıyaman University Faculty of Theology, has been concluded with distinguished academic participation. Beyond my role as the general coordinator of this organization, I had the privilege of presenting my individual research to the scholarly community.

A Critical Analysis of Narratives and Spatial Memory In my paper entitled "A Critique of Narratives Regarding the Place of Death and Tomb of Safwan b. al-Muattal: An Investigation Between Historical Reality and Spatial Memory," I analyzed the biographical data of Safwan b. al-Muattal through the lenses of textual criticism and the modern discipline of "Spatial Memory."

Key highlights of my presentation included:

• Evaluation of classical narratives for historical consistency.

• The significance of the Sahaba heritage in both local and global collective memory.

• The strategic importance of the Adıyaman/Samsat region within this historical context.
